WHAT IS A DISCOVERY / INTRO FLIGHT?
A discovery flight is your opportunity to discover the awesomeness of flying the beaches with the freedom of a bird. It’s you learning about aviation and taking the controls and directing the aircraft where to go if you’re game for that.
Our airplane has no walls to obstruct your views. You'll have 360 degree vision which makes it great to take in the spectacular views of some of America's best beaches and marine wildlife. You might even see your friends and family on the beach. It's a ton of fun!
Plus, you don't even have to leave Anna Maria Island. Our airplane has floats so your adventure begins by taking off right from the water at King Fish boat ramp, close to CVS on Manatee Ave!
Your intro flight is your window to the world of flight in the world’s most awesome seaplane.
FULL HD VIDEO RECORDING
We offer a full HD GoPro wing-cam video of your flight. It’s a great way to remember your experience and to share it with all of your friends and family. Be sure to add it to your flight at booking or ask your pilot before your flight.
OUR DISCOVERY FLIGHTS
We offer discovery flights for almost any adrenaline level. The pilot will tailor your discovery flight for your comfort level, from the faint of heart to adrenaline junkies alike. If you don’t want to take the controls, that’s no problem, you can enjoy some flight seeing while learning a little about our aircraft and aviation in general. If you’re an adrenaline junkie who enjoys advanced maneuvers we can do that too. It’s all about making it your bucket-list experience!
A discovery flight can also lead to you getting hooked on our type of flying. If that's the case, in addition to our discovery flights below we also offer student pilot packages.
Each Discovery Flight includes an additional 15 minutes for a pre-flight safety briefing and photo op. So, the 60 minute flight takes about 75 minutes for the entire experience and the 30 minute flight takes about 45 minutes.
30 min. Discovery Flight - An Awesome Flying Adventure - Only $159!
Our 30 min. Discovery Flight includes:
- An awesome flight up and down the famous beaches of Anna Maria Island and Bradenton Beach while learning about our aircraft and aviation in general
- Spectacular views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, beautiful beaches, downtown Tampa Bay
and downtown St. Pete
- Searching up marine wildlife including dolphins, stingrays, and sometimes even manatees
- Some low passes, water-skims and splash-n-dash’s
- Similar to the 1 hr flight except shorter. But still a bucket list aviation adventure!
60 Min. Discovery Flight - Gorgeous Views and You Can Take The Controls - Only $279!
Our 60 min. Discovery Flight includes:
- An awesome flight up and down some of Americas best beaches of Anna Maria Island as the pilot/flight instructor introduces you to the aircraft and aviation in general
- Spectacular views of the Skyway Bridge, downtown Tampa Bay, downtown St. Pete and the beautiful keys between
Anna Maria Island and St. Pete
- Searching up marine wildlife including dolphins, stingrays, and sometimes even manatees
- Several low passes, water-skims and splash-n-dash’s
- An introduction to the controls in which you actually fly the aircraft. ‘But I can’t fly a plane!’ you say. Well don’t worry, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. But if you do, not to worry, your pilot/certified flight instructor will be shadowing you on the controls. There’s nothing you can do that they can’t immediately correct if necessary. Plus they’ll be walking you through everything the whole time, through noise cancelling headphones.
