HOW CAN I BOOK AN INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT?
Simply call 833-LETS-FLY (833-538-7359) and we'll get you booked.
WHAT IS AN INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT?
It’s a flight in which you’ll be exposed to the beautiful views and exhilaration of open-cockpit flight while learning a little bit about the aircraft and aviation. And, if you’re comfortable with it, you may even be able to take the controls for a while.
I’M VISITING IN A FEW WEEKS. CAN I BOOK NOW?
For sure. Its a great idea to book early, to reserve your place. Once you have booked with us your time slot has been reserved just for you. You don't have to worry about the weather, either. If you have booked in advance and it looks like bad weather will roll in, we'll contact you a couple of days before your flight to reschedule you for a day or two prior or after your original day. If that doesn't work for you we'll give you a full refund.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We’re located on Anna Maria Island,FL. We’re about an hour south of Tampa International Airport near Bradenton, FL
We service the Anna Maria Island, Bradenton & Bradenton Beach areas with flights to and around Anna Maria Island, Bradenton Beach, Siesta Key, the Skyway Bridge and Fort DeSoto Park.
WHERE DO THE FLIGHTS DEPART FROM?
THAT AIRCRAFT IS THE COOLEST THING, WHAT IS IT?
These aircraft are commonly called ‘trikes’ but officially are called weight-shift-controlled by the FAA. They evolved from hang gliders. Basically the aircraft is a carriage, with a motor and propeller suspended under a delta wing. It is very stable, safe and fun to fly.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We typically wear shorts and sandals all year but during cooler times of the year you may want to have pants and a sweater or jacket. Also, no shoes that aren’t firmly secured to the feet please, like flip-flops. If you show up in flip-flops though, no biggie, a lot of people go barefoot.
We currently have a convenient departure location on Anna Maria Island at:
Kingfish Boat Ramp -
752 Manatee Ave, Holmes Beach, FL 34217
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled flight time and bring Government Issued I.D.
IS THE AIRCRAFT FAA CERTIFIED?
Yes, it is certified by the FAA as a Light Sport Aircraft. It isn’t an experimental or home-built aircraft.
DOES THE FAA REGULATE YOUR AIRCRAFT SAFETY?
Yes, the FAA requires our aircraft to be inspected every 100 hours of use and also go through an extensive annual inspection as well as required routine maintenance at specified intervals. These all have to be done by an FAA certified aircraft mechanic.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS CAN YOU TAKE AT A TIME?
We can take one passenger at a time.
WILL I GET A REFUND IF WE GET RAINED OUT?
Yes. If we cancel your flight due to weather, or any other reason, we will try our best to reschedule your flight or give you a refund, your choice. If it looks as though there may be questionable weather at your scheduled flight time please don’t assume it will be cancelled. Just give us a call if in doubt. Florida weather changes quickly, minute by minute and place to place. There may be thunderstorms in one area and blue skies 20 miles away and storms can form and dissipate rapidly as well.
WILL I BE ABLE TO ASK QUESTIONS WHILE FLYING?
Absolutely, fire away! We use state-of-the-art equipment and you’ll communicate with the pilot through special noise-cancelling headsets. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you can think of.
IS IT SCARY?
It sure doesn't seem to be for those that have flown with us. We’ve never had anyone back out of a flight or want to turn around and land. And we've even flown people that are afraid of heights.
On the other hand, we have had people who were initially apprehensive go ahead and take a flight after seeing their friends fly. Usually when people see their friends fly it eases there nerves.
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes, 250 pounds for the passenger.
ARE THE PILOTS LICENSED?
Yes, your pilot will also be a Certified Flight Instructor.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We’re happy to give a 100% refund but we do require 48 hours notice for a full refund.
